Infant/Toddler and Preschool Teacher Time episodes focus on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) concepts and skills. Learn about the STEM components and explore how art supports them. Explore strategies and teaching practices that help infants, toddlers, and preschoolers develop creativity, reasoning, problem-solving, and language and communication skills. The series has eight episodes—four for infant/toddler teachers and family child care providers and four for preschool teachers and family child care providers.
Topics for the webinars include:
- Describing STEM components and using art to encourage learning in these components
- Identifying strategies and teaching practices that help infants, toddlers, and preschoolers develop STEAM concepts and skills
- Identifying modifications to learning environments or teaching practices to meet individual children's needs
NOTE: A Teacher Time STEAM Celebration Box was created as part of the STEAM series. It was sent to education managers and includes resources for supporting STEAM learning in all program settings. The resources are also available in the Teacher Time MyPeers community group.
