CloseThese videos give examples of educators using Planned Instructional Sequences (PInS) in their learning environment to teach children specific skills. Each video shows how quickly and easily staff members can fit PInS into the ongoing daily activities. Thoughtful planning and consideration go into setting up PInS, but to the children and observers, the instructional sequences look like play.
- Clip 1: PInS During Blocks — the child in this video works to identify size concepts, specifically little size in this case. The educator uses PInS to practice this skill during block play.
- Clip 2: PInS During Playdough — the child in the striped shirt works on asking for help when needed. The educator sets up the playdough activity and works on this skill throughout the activity.
- Clip 3: PInS During a Song — the child in red works to identify prepositions, and the educator uses a PInS interaction to practice this during a song.
- Clip 4: PInS During Circle — one of the children in the circle works on imitating the actions of an adult. The educator uses a PInS interaction to work on this during circle.
