Anna: Help, please.
Teacher: Ooh, help please. Here you go. Thanks for asking.

- Clip 1: Cue —the educator gives the child a playdough container with the lid on it.
- Clip 2: Offer Help — the educator gives the child an expectant look and waits for the child to initiate.
- Clip 3: Child Response — the child says, “Help, please.”
- Clip 4: Feedback — the educator quickly opens the lid to the playdough and says, “Thanks for asking. Here’s the playdough for you.”
