Recovery

Icon of two bandaids making a plus signYour program has experienced an emergency. Maybe your facility is damaged or destroyed. Or, perhaps there’s no physical damage but you, your staff, and/or the children you care for are traumatized by the event and having difficulty coping. This is the recovery phase of emergency preparedness, and the goal is to get your program and the people you’re responsible for back on their feet. That means you can resume caring for children, families can go back to work, and your program has access to supports to address any short- or long-term material or mental health needs.
