How do I sign up for the iPD?

To access the iPD, you must have an account on the Early Childhood Learning and Knowledge Center (ECLKC) website. Follow these simple instructions to register for an ECLKC account.  

What do I do if I've forgotten my username, email, or password?

If you forget your password or username, both can be reset from the ECLKC Login page. For further assistance, read Login Assistance.

How do I update my email address or password?

To change the email address or password associated with your iPD account, log into the ECLKC and update your Profile information. You cannot update your email address from the iPD

How do I make changes to my iPD profile (e.g., name, zip code, etc.)?

You can access your profile from your student profile page. Once you log in, select your initials in the upper righthand corner. You will then be able to use the dropdown menu to choose "Edit profile" and make changes to your profile.

Are iPD courses available offline?

No, courses are not currently available offline.

Can I review a course after it’s been marked complete?

Yes. You can revisit course material, including assessments, without impacting your completion status.

Do the courses on the iPD offer CEUs?

Most courses on the iPD provide CEUs. For courses that don't have associated CEUs, participants receive a certificate of completion.

Why isn’t the course I took on the ECLKC website showing up on my iPD student record?

Courses taken directly on the ECLKC website will not show up inside your iPD student record. Although the iPD is accessible from the ECLKC website, they are separate learning environments. For courses to appear inside your iPD student record, you must take courses directly through the iPD platform.

As a supervisor, can I assign my staff members training through the iPD?

At this time, the system is not set up to permit supervisors to assign courses to users and oversee their progress. However, users can set up accounts, enroll in courses on their own, and then download and turn in certificates of completion to prove they’ve done the coursework. This is the model numerous centers have chosen to adopt.

How do I access my certificate?

To generate a PDF certificate in a new browser window that you can save or print for your records:

  • When inside a course, select the certificate activity
  • From the My Records section on the iPD homepage, select the certificate icon for the course

Can the iPD be accessed from a Mac computer?

Yes, the iPD Portfolio is compatible with Mac computers.

What browser should I use when taking courses on the iPD?

You should use:

  • Internet Explorer (IE) 11 or greater
  • Google Chrome 45+
  • Microsoft Edge latest version
  • Mozilla Firefox 30+
  • Safari Latest
  • Opera 4

The browser must be set to accept cookies and to show the newest version of a page. Pop‐up blockers should be disabled.

Can the iPD be accessed via an app?

No, not at this moment. However, the iPD is mobile-responsive. That means it can be accessed from the ECLKC site using the browser on your tablet or smartphone.
