Narrator: How to Use the Head Start Locator. The Early Childhood Learning and Knowledge Center, known as ECLKC, is the official Head Start website.
Head Start services are available at no cost to children ages birth to age 5 and eligible families. Select the How to Apply button to learn more. Explore the page to read about family qualifications, finding your local Head Start program, and how to apply for services. Use the Head Start Locator to find a program near your home.
The local Head Start program will help you find out if your child qualifies and what documents you'll need to submit for eligibility or enrollment. Enter your city, state, or zip code. Select the mile radius around your neighborhood to filter program locations by distance.
Select Center Type. Head Start, Early Head Start, Migrant and Seasonal Head Start, or American Indian and Alaska Native. Choose the Search button and a list of Head Start programs in your area will generate. Once you locate a program you are interested in applying to check the Register At section for the organization's contact information, including the center name and phone number.
