A team of independent reviewers examined each curriculum using the Parenting Curriculum Decision-making Checklist. The review process included an initial assessment of information that is publicly available on the web. In cases where curricula met basic criteria described in the checklist, developers were asked to provide a description of the curriculum and were contacted for an interview. The databases provide a summary of the information gathered from interviews, manuals, or facilitator's guides, and any additional materials provided by developers. Not all curricula in the databases meet all the criteria in the decision-making checklist.
Information about each curriculum was provided to the reviewers by its developers on Oct. 31, 2017. In the fall of 2022, developers were asked to provide updated information. The National Center on Parent, Family, and Community Engagement completed an update of the databases by winter 2022. The databases will continue to be updated at regular intervals.
